Имајќи огнена љубов кон Бога уште од детството, Лампад се оддалечи во пустината близу Иринопол и се посвети на подвиг. Штом ги совлада сите страсти и телесните желби, неговата душа беше просветлена од небесна светлина и со неискажлив мир којшто не е од овој свет. Чудотворец и за време на животот и по смртта. Се подвизуваше најверојатно во 10 век.
