Еден од Седумдесеттемина. Следбеник и придружник на Светиот апостол Павле, од кого беше поставен за епископ на Верија Тракиска. Но го проповедаше Евангелието и на Крит, каде што го прими во својот дом Св. Дионисиј Ареопагит. За него Свети Дионисиј сведочи дека бил човек украсен со чист ум, кротост и незлобливост и дека во визија му се јавил Самиот Господ Исус Христос со Своите ангели и никогаш не ја почнувал Светата Литургија ако немал претходно небесно видение. За името Христово претрпе многу напасти. Најпосле пострада од неверните Евреи коишто го убија, па се пресели со душата во Царството Божјо за вечно да се насладува гледајќи Го Господ во слава.
