Ο Όσιος Κενδέας είναι άγνωστος στους Συναξαριστές, γνωστός όμως στην Εκκλησία της Κύπρου και ήταν ένας από τους Αλαμάνους αγίους. Γερμανός στην καταγωγή, πήγε να προσκυνήσει τους Άγιους Τόπους, όπου έγινε μοναχός στην έρημο του Ιορδάνη. Από 'κει πήγε στην Κύπρο και μόνασε σε κάποια Μονή κοντά στην Πάφο, όπου οσιακά αφού έζησε απεβίωσε ειρηνικά.
