Τους Όσιους αυτούς ασκητές, μόνο ο Άγιος Νικόδημος τους αναφέρει στον συναξαριστή του. Ακολουθία τους εκδόθηκε στο Ηράκλειο το 1879 μ.Χ. Πάντα σύμφωνα με την ακολουθία τους, απεβίωσαν ειρηνικά συγχρόνως και οι 99 μαζί. Κατάγονταν από διάφορα μέρη της λεκάνης της Μεσογείου και ασκήτευαν στην Κρήτη. Τον κυριότερο απ' αυτούς έλεγαν Ιωάννη και γιορτάζεται τοπικά στην Κρήτη.
