Η Αγία Επίχαρις ήταν από τη Ρώμη και έζησε στα χρόνια του Διοκλητιανού (298 μ.Χ.). Συνελήφθη επειδή ήταν χριστιανή από τον έπαρχο Καισάριο και ομολόγησε με θάρρος τον Χριστό. Βασανίστηκε σκληρά και αφού της συνέτριψαν τα μέλη με μολύβδινη σφαίρα, στο τέλος την αποκεφάλισαν.
