Οι Όσιοι Συμεών, Θεόδωρος και Ευφροσύνη οι θαυματουργοί είναι άγνωστοι στους Συναξαριστές. Απ' αυτούς ο Συμεών και ο Θεόδωρος ήταν αδέλφια μεταξύ τους και κτήτορες της Μονής του Μεγάλου Σπηλαίου. Γεννήθηκαν στις αρχές του 4ου αιώνα μ.Χ. και αφού ασκητικά και οσιακά έζησαν απεβίωσαν ειρηνικά. Η δε Οσία Ευφροσύνη, είναι αυτή που βρήκε την εικόνα της Θεοτόκου, που κατά την παράδοση αγιογραφήθηκε από τον απόστολο Λουκά και φυλάσσεται μέχρι και σήμερα στη Μονή του Μεγάλου Σπηλαίου στην Πελοπόννησο. Όλα αυτά βέβαια, σύμφωνα με την Ακολουθία των Αγίων, που εκδόθηκε στη Βενετία το 1706 μ.Χ., στην Αθήνα το 1840 μ.Χ. και 1911 μ.Χ.
