Η Οσία Άννα η εν τω Λευκαδίω (ή Λευκάτη) έζησε στα χρόνια του βασιλιά Θεοφίλου του εικονομάχου (829 - 842 μ.Χ.) και ήταν κόρη πλούσιας και επίσημης οικογένειας. Η ίδια είχε άφθονα σωματικά και πνευματικά χαρίσματα διότι ανατράφηκε εν παιδεία και νουθεσία Κυρίου.
