Γιὰ τὸν Ἅγιο αὐτὸ δὲν ἀναφέρεται πουθενὰ βιογραφικό του ὑπόμνημα στοὺς Συναξαριστές. Μόνο στὸν Παρισινὸ Κώδικα 1617 ἀναγράφεται ὅτι ὁ μάρτυρας αὐτὸς ὁμολόγησε μὲ θάρρος τὸν Χριστὸ μπροστὰ στὸν εἰδωλολάτρη ἄρχοντα, ὁ ὁποῖος μὲ διάφορες κολακεῖες προσπάθησε νὰ τὸν πείσει νὰ θυσιάσει στὰ εἴδωλα. Ἀλλὰ ἐπειδὴ δὲν τὰ κατάφερε τὸν βασάνισε μὲ τὸν πιὸ φρικιαστικὸ τρόπο καὶ στὸ τέλος τὸν ἀποκεφάλισε.
