Ο Άγιος Οσιομάρτυς Βουκασίνος έζησε κατά τον 20ο αιώνα και γεννήθηκε σε ένα μικρό χωριό, το Κλέπτσι, κοντά στην Ερζεγοβίνη. Δεν υπάρχουν επαρκείς αγιολογικές πληροφορίες για τον βίο του. Επειδή ήταν Ορθόδοξος μοναχός συνελήφθη κατά την διάρκεια του Β' Παγκοσμίου πολέμου από τους φιλοναζιστές Ρωμαιοκαθολικούς Κροάτες και οδηγήθηκε στο φρικτό στρατόπεδο συγκέντρωσης Γιασένοβατς, όπου, αρνούμενος να μεταστραφεί στο Ρωμαιοκαθολικισμό, θανατώθηκε μετά από σκληρά βασανιστήρια.
