Ο Άγιος Μάρτυς Νέαρχος τελειώθηκε διά πυρός. Εικάζεται ότι ήταν φίλος του Αγίου Μάρτυρα Πολυεύκτου (βλέπε 9 Ιανουαρίου). Εάν θεωρηθεί ότι αυτό είναι αληθές, τότε ο Άγιος Νέαρχος πρέπει να μαρτύρησε κατά τους χρόνους των αυτοκρατόρων Δεκίου (249 - 251 μ.Χ.) και Ουαλεριανού (251 - 259 μ.Χ.).
