Ο Όσιος Ζωσιμάς του Βορμποζόμ γεννήθηκε περί τα τέλη του 15ου αιώνα μ.Χ. στη Ρωσία. Ασκήτεψε θεοφιλώς στη μονή του Κομέλ και στη νήσο Βορμποζόμ, κοντά στη Λευκή λίμνη, όπου ίδρυσε μοναστική αδελφότητα και ανήγειρε ναό αφιερωμένο στον Ευαγγελισμό της Θεοτόκου. Κοιμήθηκε με ειρήνη το έτος 1550 μ.Χ.
