Ο Άγιος Μάρτυς Διόσκορος (ή Διοσκορίδης) ο Νέος καταγόταν από τη Σμύρνη και σ' αυτή μαρτύρησε για τον Χριστό. Η μανία των ειδωλολατρών κατά των Χριστιανών, άναβε περισσότερο το ζήλο του για την αγία μας πίστη. Καταγγέλθηκε λοιπόν σα χριστιανός. Ομολόγησε ότι ήταν και θα μείνει αμετακίνητος στην Ιερή ομολογία του. Με την ιδέα ότι οι βαρείες φυλακίσεις θα δάμαζαν το φρόνημα του, τον έριξαν στην πιο άθλια και σκοτεινή φυλακή. Επειδή όμως και πάλι διακήρυττε, ότι μέχρι την τελευταία του πνοή θα μείνει πιστός στον Ιησού του, τον θανάτωσαν με αποκεφαλισμό.

- To do good application for desktop computers ...
