Η μνήμη του Οσίου Σάββα, αγνοείται στο Συναξαριστή του Αγίου Νικόδημου και τα έντυπα Μηναία. Αναφέρεται στον Συναξαριστή Delehaye, αλλά χωρίς βιογραφικό σημείωμα. Στον Λαυριωτικό Κώδικα όμως, Ι 70 φ. 2026, βρίσκεται το εξής υπόμνημα: «Ούτος δια την ενάρετον αυτού πολιτείαν, την κατά Θεόν, ην εκ βρέφους ένεδείξατο εν πάση ευλάβεια και σεμνότητι και φόβω Θεού και δια την προσούσαν αύτω αρετήν επίσκοπος Δαφνουσίας ψήφω συνοδική καθίσταται, και τους οίακας του θρόνου άναλαβών πάντας εξεπαίδευσεν εμμένειν τη αληθινή και ευλαβεί πίστει και πολλούς από των ειδωλολατρών επέστρεψε και βάπτισε. Και ούτω καλώς και θεοφιλώς βιώσας προς Κύριον εξεδήμησε, ον εκ βρέφους επόθησεν».
