Ο Όσιος Λογγίνος του Κορυάζχεμσκ καταγόταν από την Ρωσία. Ασκήτεψε αρχικά στη μονή Αγίου Παύλου της Ομπνόρα και στη συνέχεια στη μονή των Αγίων Βορίδος και Γκλεμπ του Σολβυτσέγκοντ και στη μονή του Αγίου Κορνηλίου της περιοχής Κομέλ. Από εκεί, ακολουθούμενος από τον μοναχό Συμεών, ήλθε σε ερημητήριο που ήταν στις όχθες του ποταμού Κορυαζχέμα. Εκεί ανήγειρε κελιά και ναό αφιερωμένο στον Άγιο Νικόλαο.
