Οι Άγιοι Απόστολοι Νυμφάς και Εύβουλος ήταν μαθητές του Αποστόλου Παύλου, ο οποίος μνημονεύει τον μεν Απόστολο Νυμφά, που διέμενε στις Κολοσσές ή στη Λαοδικεία, στην προς Κολοσσαείς επιστολή (Kολ. δ΄, 15), τον δε Απόστολο Εύβουλο, που ήταν μετά του Παύλου, στην προς Τιμόθεον Β' Επιστολή (β΄ Tιμ. δ΄, 21).
