Κανείς από τους Συναξαριστές δεν αναφέρει τον βασιλιά Αρκάδιο (395-408 μ.Χ.) σαν Άγιο. Συναντάται η μνήμη του μόνο στο Ιεροσολυμιτικό Κανονάριο (σελ. 105 εκδ. Καλλίστου αρχιμ.) μαζί με τον άγιο Μαρτύριο. Ίσως η Εκκλησία των Ιεροσολύμων να είχε κάποιους σημαντικούς λόγους να τον κατατάξει μεταξύ των Αγίων της.
