Pyhittäjä ja tunnustaja Emilianos, Cyzickuksen piispa eli ikonoklastisen keisari Leo Armenialaisen (813-820) valtakaudella. Hänet kutsuttiin yhdessä muiden piispojen kanssa keisarin tuomioistuimen eteen ja keisari itsepäisesti kehotti piispoja pidättäytymään pyhien ikonien kunnioittamisesta. Pyhä Emilianos oli ensimmäinen piispa, joka tiukasti vastasi keisarille pyhien ikonien kunnioittamiskysymyksestä, että asiasta pitää keskustella ja päättää vain kirkon sisällä sen hengellisten johtajien keskuudessa, ei maallisessa oikeudessa. Vuonna 815 hänet lähetettiin vankilaan ortodoksisen uskonsa vuoksi ja hän kuoli vankeudessa tunnustajana.
