Autor de un Catálogo de las Escrituras auténticas; dos libros sobre la Pascua y una apología en favor de los cristianos dirigida a Marco Aurelio, Se consagró obispo de Sardes (Lidia). Se considera uno de los padres apologistas. Murió en su sede episcopal. Sardes (Lidia) † 175.
