Nacido en un lugar llamado Konitsa, en Albania, era un musulmán de padres musulmanes. Viendo el poder de la fe cristiana en varios lugares y eventos, fue bautizado. Por esto fue arrestado y traído ante el juez turco. Torturado por su fe cristiana en Etolia, y degollado en 1814, clamó al momento de su muerte: «¡Recuérdame, Señor, en tu Reino!»
