Vivió en ascetismo en Vilna, y fue más tarde abad de un monasterio en Brest. Por su constancia en la fe ortodoxa, fue degollado por los católicos el 5 de septiembre de 1648. Sus reliquias, que obran milagros, son atesoradas en Brest.
