Constantino nació de padres musulmanes en la isla de Mitelene. Habiendo sido sanado de una grave enfermedad con la ayuda de agua bendita en la Iglesia, y siendo testigo de otros de la fe de Cristo, fue bautizado en el Monte Atos, en la Ermita de Kapsokalivia. Más tarde Constantino cayó en manos de los turcos, quienes lo colgaron el 2 de junio de 1819, después de cuarenta días de crueles torturas.
