San Laurencio, recluso de las Cuevas de Kiev y obispo de Turov, Cuevas de Nier. San Laurencio, ermitaño de las cuevas y obispo de Turov, en las cuevas cercanas, vivió al principio como ermitaño en el monasterio del gran mártir Demetrio, construido por el Gran Príncipe Izyaslav cerca del monasterio de las Cuevas de Kiev. Más adelante, transfirió a las cuevas de Kiev el monasterio, y se glorificó por el regalo del don de la curación. Lo elevaron al ver de Turov en 1182 (Turov es una ciudad en la región de Minsk), y fue sucesor de San Cirilo de Turov (del 28 de abril). Murió en 1194, y fue enterrado en las cuevas cercanas. Su memoria se celebra también el 28 de septiembre y el segundo domingo del Gran Prestado.
