San Paladio el Sirio, habitante del desierto condujo una vida ascética en cierta cerca cueva de la montaña de Antioch. Debido a sus luchas, recibió del señor un regalo maravilloso. Una vez, encontró a un comerciante asesinado por los ladrones cerca de su cueva. El pueblo acusó a San Paladio del asesinato, pero con el rezo del santo, el hombre muerto se levantó y nombró a sus asesinos. El santo murió en el final del cuarto siglo, hiendose detrás de varios trabajos edificativos.
