Los Santos mártires Inna, Pinna y Rimma eran eslavos de Escitia y eran alumnos del apóstol Andrés. Con su predica sobre el Cristo, ellos cristianizaron y bautizaron a muchos paganos bárbaros. El príncipe de los bárbaros se enfureció con ello y los quería obligar a renunciar a su fe e inclinarse ante los ídolos. Pero cuando ellos quedaron firmes en su creencia en Cristo, el príncipe ordenó clavar en el hielo del río unos pilares y atar a los mártires a estos pilares. Agotados por el terrible frío y la presión del hielo, los Santos mártires entregaron sus almas al Señor: Se cree que el lugar de sus martirios fue el río Danubio. Se piensa que fueron martirizados durante el siglo I. (Al principio los nombres Inna, Pinna y Rimma eran masculinos, pero ahora en Rusia estos nombres se consideran femeninos).
