San Arsenio, primer arzobispo de Corfú. San Arsenio, Arzobispo de Kerkyra (Corfu), era natural de Palestina y vivió en el siglo IX. Su vida la condujo ascéticamente terminante, y era un hombre altamente educado y escritor espiritual. Era glorificado por la sabiduría, y constantemente defendió a la multitud perseguida por el emperador Constantino (979-1028). Debido a su gran virtud, San Arsenio fue consagrado como Arzobispo de Kerkyra. Fue un defensor de viudas, como un padre para los huérfanos, y para el una dolorosa comodidad, y así, Dios lo recompensó con grandes Milagros. Cayó dormido en los brazos del Señor ya finalizando el Siglo IX. Sus reliquias fueron puestas en la catedral en Kerkyra, muchos milagros y curaciones ocurrieron en su tumba.
