Sixtos, von Geburt Grieche; in das Mamertinische Gefängnis gesperrt und zum Tode verurteilt mit dem Diakonen Felikismos und Agapetos, begegnete auf dem Wege zur Einrichtung des Erzdiakon Laurentios, der unter Tränen rief: "Wohin gehst du, O Vater, ohne deinen Diakon? Bringst du Gott das Opfer ohne mich?" Sixtos sagte ihm prophetisch, über 3 Tage werde er ihm nachfolgen, was auch geschah. Laurentios wurde auf langsamem Feuer gebraten, wobei er zu Christus den Krieger Romanos und den Gefängnisaufseher Hippolytos bekehrte. Die Reliquien der sämtlichen Märtyrer befinden sich in Rom.
