Der heilige Hl. Märtyrer Lupos war Diener des hl. Großmartyrer Dimitrios von Thessalonich (Gedenktag: 8. November (26. Oktober). Als der hl. Lupos das Martyrium seines Herrn beiwohnte, benetzte er sein Gewand mit dem Blut des Großmartyrers und nahm sein Ring. Mit diesen Reliquien wirkte er viele Wunder in der Stadt Thessalonich (heut. Griechenland). Wegen der Verkündigung des Christentums wurde er verfolgt und zur Enthauptung verurteilt, um Jahre 306, unter dem römischen Kaiser Maximianos.
