Der heilige Märtyrer Patrikios war Bischof von der Stadt Prusa in Bithynien. Er wurde zur Zeit der Christenverfolgung in eine heiße Quelle geworfen, blieb jedoch unversehrt. Mit ihm erlitten den Martertod drei Priester - hll. Akakios, Menandros und Polienos. Sie wurden unter Kaiser Julius (361-363) enthauptet. Nach den Kirchenliedern wurden durch die Fürbitten dieser Märtyrer "die heißen Leidenschaften der Seele“ überwunden.
