Die ehrwürdige Isidora war Nonne des Tabenia–Klosters, im 4. Jahrhundert. Freiwillig übernahm sie die schwierige Askese der "Einfältigkeit um Christi Willen". Mit viel Sanftmut sollte sie viele Unannehmlichkeiten und Beschimpfungen ertragen. Über ihr wohlgefälliges Leben offenbarte Gott dem ehrwürdigen Pitirim, dem Bewohner der Thebeischen Wüste. Über die Würde der hl. Isydora erzählte der hl. Pytirim ihrer Kloster-Genossenschaft. Den Ruhm zu entgehen, entfernte sich die Heilige aus ihrem Kloster und starb an unbekanntem Orte, nicht später als 365.
