Wegen des Bekenntnisses Christi gefangen genommen, wurde Julitta schweren Qualen unterworfen zu Tarsos 305. Ihr 3jährige Sohn Kerykos, ihre Leiden sehend, weinte laut. Als der Quäler ihn beruhigen und auf seine Knie nehmen wollte, strebte er mit dem Rufe: "Ich bin Christ!" zur Mutter. Da stieß ihn der Richter zornig von sich, und Kerykos rollte von den Stufen und war tot. Die Mutter wurde enthauptet.
