Marius und Martha waren die Eltern von Abachum und Audifax, die der Überlieferung nach nach Rom kamen, um die Gräber der Apostel zu verehren. Ebenso wie ihre beiden Söhne kümmerten sie sich in Rom um Arme und besuchten Christen in den Gefängnissen, um sie zu trösten. Unter Kaiser Claudius Gothicus wurden sie demnach gefangen genommen und am 13. Meilenstein der Via Cornelia gemartert worden sein.
