Die hl. Piama stammte aus Alexandria in Ägypten und starb im Jahre 337. Die hl. Alexandra lebte 12 Jahre einsam in eine Höhle, nicht weit von Alexandria - sie starb im Jahre 376. Um dieselbe Zeit ergab sich ähnlicher Askese, die dem Namen nach unbekannten Jungfrau.
