约安在所谓的“古洞”中潜心修行。这个古洞位于巴勒斯坦境内，也是圣沙里顿的“老修道院”。早在年幼时，约安就全心全意地爱慕主基督，开始到圣地进行朝拜，并领受圣人的指导和教诲。最后，他选定了沙里顿洞，在这里过着一种艰苦的修行生活。他日复一日、年复一年地戒斋、祷告，时常警醒自己，不断地思索着死亡，并不断告诫自己要谦卑。他如同一枚熟透的果实，被死亡摘走，得以进入天堂。约安渡过的一生处在公元8 世纪。

- To work towards the further development of the project, adapting it for mobile devices and modern technologies
- To do the annual calendar, display showing the liturgical readings per week
- To supplement existing content
- To do a completely new approach with banners and a small calendars for other sites,
- To do good application for desktop computers ...
