西门是耶稣的十二门徒之一，他出生于加利利的迦拿。主耶稣和母亲以及众门徒都参加了西门的婚礼宴席。当时，酒用尽了，主将水变成了酒（约安福音／约／若2：1－11）。看到这个奇迹之后，新郎西门离开了家、离开了父母和新娘，跟随了主耶稣。奋锐党的意思就是热心。西门被称为奋锐党是因为他对救世主及其福音所表现出的巨大热情。在收到圣灵之后，西门来到了非洲的毛里塔尼亚传讲福音。因为他成功地使许多人皈依基督，由此西门受到了残酷的迫害，最后同主基督一样被钉死在十字架上，主耶稣为西门在永生的国度中准备了荣耀的冠冕。

- To do the annual calendar, display showing the liturgical readings per week

- To do a completely new approach with banners and a small calendars for other sites,
