这三位圣女来自巴勒斯坦的恺撒里亚。当迫害基督教运动开始时，她们从城市中隐退，来到了一个小草棚，在那里，她们不停地向上帝祷告、斋戒，希望基督信仰能够传遍整个世界，同时对教会的迫害能够停止。由于遭受诽谤，她们三人被带到法庭前受审，受尽了折磨之后，于公元304年被杀死。由此，这三位荣耀的童女都收到了殉道的冠冕。
