特若斐默和塔罗是亲兄弟，出生于徐利亚，他们毫无顾忌地传扬基督的福音，还大肆抨击希腊人与罗马人敬拜偶像。异教徒决定用石块打死他们，但是当他们向这二位兄弟投掷石块的时候，石块反过来打伤了自己，二位兄弟却安然无恙。之后，异教徒将这二位兄弟钉在十字架上。在十字架上，这二位兄弟教导站在周围的基督徒。在经受痛苦的折磨之后，这二位兄弟魂归天国，当时为公元300年，地点在伯弗尔市。
