В същия ден празнуваме паметта на светите мъченици Дасий, Гаий и Зотик. Веднъж, когато тези свети мъченици бяха в Никомидия, влязоха в едно идолско капище и разрушиха скверните бесовски жертвеници. Заради тази тяхна постъпка нечестивите ги хванаха и ги подложиха на всевъзможни мъчения. Окачиха ги на дърво и стържеха телата им с гребени за коне, а после търкаха раните им с остри и груби платнища. Но светиите презираха всички тези мъчения, не преставаха да изобличават суетните идоли и високо проповядваха Христа Бога, Който е единосъщен с Отца и Светия Дух. Накрая мъчителите завързаха на шиите им камъни и ги хвърлиха в морето. Там тримата Христови мъченици предадоха душите си на Господа.
