Те бяха хванати от идолопоклонниците в Едеса и ги водеха към Йерапол. По пътя стигнаха до една река и когато войниците седнаха да се хранят, майката заедно с дъщерите обсъдиха помежду си и решиха, че по-добре е заради любовта към Христа да потънат в реката и да се явят чисти пред Господа, отколкото да бъдат живи в ръцете на нечестивите. Помолиха се на Бога и на Неговата света воля предадоха себе си, а след това се хвърлиха в речните води и така завършиха своя земен живот.
