В същия ден празнуваме и паметта на преподобния наш отец Юлиан Пустинник. Той живееше в Месопотамия, близо до река Ефрат, и построи църква на планината Синай - на онази скала, на която в древност св. пророк Моисей видя Бога. По време на жестокото гонение, подигнато от Юлиан Отстъпник срещу Христовата Църква, той се молеше на Бога и чу глас свише, който му каза:
