Ових девет храбрих мученика, љубављу Христовом загрејани, не хтеше принети жртве идолима нити се одрећи Христа Господа, због чега бену љуто мучени и најзад мачем посечени. У време цара Константина сазида се храм у Кизику у част ових мученика, где се њихове неиструлеле мошти положише. Безбројна исцељења догодише се над моштима њиховим. Имена су њихова Теогоније, Руф, Антипатер, Теостих, Артем, Магн, Теодот, Тавмасије и Филимон. Сви они презреше све времено ради вечног и трулежно ради нетрулежног. Зато их Господ уведе у вечне обитељи Своје и увенча их венцима славе непролазне. Чесно пострадаше и прославише се у III веку.
