Св. Григорий бил епископ в Акрагант (Сицилия). Той бил добър пастир и учител, баща за всички вдовици и сираци, благодетел на бедни и сираци и непрестанен богомолец и чудотворец. Присъствал на Шестия вселенски събор и умрял в 710 година. От неговата учителска дейност до нас са стигнали изяснителни беседи на книгата Еклисиаст.
