In Griechenland geboren, entfernte sich der ehrwürdige Mark nach dem Tod seiner Eltern nach Äthiopien. Hier lebte er am Fuß des Berges Tratsches, barfuss und ohne Kleider, von Hitze und Frost leidend, etwa 95 Jahre. Seine Nahrung waren nur örtliche Pflanzen. Zu seiner Zeit in der Wüste hat er auch keinen Menschen gesehen. Nur am letzten Tage seines Lebens besuchte ihn, von Gott geleitet, der ehrwürdige Serapion, welcher auch der Zeuge des seligen Hinscheidens des Heiligen wurde, und seine Lebensgeschichte niederschreiben konnte. Das geschah im Jahre 400.

- To do a completely new approach with banners and a small calendars for other sites,
- To do good application for desktop computers ...
