El a luat moarte mucenicească ca Episcop al cetăţii Iconiu, după Sfîntul Apostol Sosipater (pomenit la 10 noiembrie). Sfîntul Marcu (sau loan) a fost fiul evlavioasei Măria (a cărei casă a fost locul de refugiu al apostolilor şi primilor creştini), şi rudenie a lui Barnaba (Fapte 12: 12). El a fost Episcopul cetăţii Apollonia din Samaria. lust a fost fiul Sfîntului losif, Logodnicul Fecioarei, împreună cu Matthias, el a fost unul dintre cei puşi înainte spre a fi aleşi în locul vînzătorului Iuda Iscariot. Ales însă nu a fost lust, ci Matthias. Sfîntul lust a luat mucenicia pentru propovăduirea Evangheliei lui Hristos, fiind episcop al cetăţii Elefteropolis. Sfîntul Artema a fost episcopul Lystrei din Lycaonia, el s-a săvîrşit către Domnul cu pace.
